Getting to the city from Oaxaca Airport is easy and affordable. Airport taxis (shared shuttles) cost $12-$15 per person and are the most convenient and reliable option for travelers.
Exploring Oaxaca
The city center is compact and very walkable, so there's no need to rent a car for downtown trips. For day tours outside the city, local tour companies are highly recommended.
Renting a Car
For this trip, we believe that renting a car is not necessary for most travelers. The historic center of Oaxaca is highly walkable, and local tours are a convenient way to explore areas outside the city.
